Birth and Postpartum Practitioner / Lactation Counselor
Somatic Facilitator / B.A. Social Work
I am a birth and postpartum practitioner, lactation counselor, and somatic facilitator. I offer full spectrum care to women and families along the reproductive continuum and throughout their healing journeys. At the root of all the work I do is a calling to nurture and support growing life.
Whether birthing a new baby or a new embodiment of yourself, I believe it is your birthright to do so with presence and connection.

I have had many teachers and guides in my life - from my family of origin, to the dearest of friends, to the many doctors, body workers and healers I have been touched by, to the natural world, and to birthing mothers and anyone who has invited me into their own phases of transformation. But perhaps the greatest teacher I have had in this lifetime has been my body. Often in ways that I would have preferred to not have been acquainted with, my deepest learning has come through my experiences with pain and dis-ease. This teacher has called me into continual states of surrender - guiding me to ask questions about the design of life and the potential of the human system, slowing me down enough to authentically sense and feel, and expanding me into greater forms of consciousness and being. For years, interfacing with layers of dis-ease felt like it was keeping me from living, feeling separated from life. But in time as I peel back the layers, I can see that this has been my sacred invitation into thriving, returning me to a truer relationship with life itself.
As I have journeyed through this distinct relationship with my body, I have been witness to the cyclical nature of life and to the pattern of expansion and contraction. This has required much patience and trust, release of expectations, willingness to stay open, and leaning into curiosity to interact with mystery.
These elements are what cracked me open to be in service to others in their own unique unfolding. These are the places I meet others in their own sacred process. Whether birthing a new baby or a new embodiment of yourself, I believe it is your birthright to do so with presence and connection. I believe that the body holds inherent wisdom for us to tune into. I believe that joy and pleasure are intrinsic to the human experience and that as we learn to unwind from certain imprinted ways of being, we can remember our vitality and bring these frequencies forward into our living awareness.
Since 2019, I have been in practice as a birth and postpartum doula, supporting women and families in preparation for birth, being witness to their labor/birth experiences, and tenderly caretaking the mother-baby dyad in the early postpartum period. Previously, I received my bachelor’s degree in Social Work and spent over a decade working in children’s museums and education centers, all greatly informing what it means to me to participate in creation. I was initiated into birthwork through Mama Glow in Brooklyn, NY, where my education was both embodied and evidenced based. Some of my additional training includes Trauma Informed Birth Support, Jaguar: Call of the Wild (navigating body intelligence and the nervous system), and Manhattan Birth’s Integrative Lactation & Feeding Specialist program. Recently, I have been immersed in studying cross-cultural traditional postpartum care under the wise and fierce guidance of Rachelle Seliga, and I will be certified as an Innate Traditions Practitioner this year.
At the root of all of my work is a calling to nurture and support growing life. This calling takes a myriad of shapes as I serve women through the healing arts in birth preparation, postpartum care and lactation counseling, somatic facilitation, and ceremony. In my relationships and in my work, I am interested in engaging and telling the truest stories possible, asking the recurring question, “How does it feel to be alive?”- making room for the full spectrum of emotions to be exposed and expressed. I am grateful and honored to hold the roles of daughter, sister, friend, auntie, birthworker, and forever learning to humbly hold space as healer. My life and my practice are influenced by devotion to the Divine Feminine, midwifery models of care, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, prenatal and perinatal Psychology, and dynamics of intergenerational healing. I receive so much life-force from the many storytellers, artists, dancers, and musicians that dare to awaken something within themselves and share it with others. (I wish you could hear the soundtrack loudly playing while I am writing this!) The devotional practices that sustain me are dance, yoga/breathwork, nourishment through traditional foods, Cacao Dietas, sweating in the sauna, walking with the trees, and swimming in the ocean. My work is ever-unfolding (as I am, as you are…) and I look forward to what is to be exchanged as we find each other along this path.
